The British Hawker Hunter jet fighter served in a multitude of air forces in a variety of roles for 60 years. The transonic Hunter was flown by the Royal Air Force in the 1956 Suez Crisis, the Iraqis in the War of Attrition in the late 1960s, and the Rhodesians in their 1970s bush war. A new watch company, AVI-8, has produced an elegant chronograph in honor of that multi-purpose warbird. This AVI-8 HAWKER HUNTER QUARTZ DATE CHRONOGRAPH WRIST WATCH is in MINT, unworn, new in the box condition, with absolutely no cracking or damage of any kind. Most interestingly, it boasts a fully functional Japanese quartz movement, sports a crisp OD dial with khaki, white, black, and red accents, a date window at 4 o'clock, "AVI-8" at 8 o'clock, and three aircraft gauge style sub-dials, and features an "AVI8" stamped knurled crown and two plungers (the top in matching red) at the left side of the black finished stainless steel angled case. It carries the traditional "AVI8" markings on the back of the case, measures 45mm wide (excluding the crown) with a lug size of 22mm, and comes complete with an "AVI-8" branded grayish green leather, black stitched wrist strap, the classic "AVI-8" snap closure OD nylon box with interior padding, and all of the familiar tagging. A beautiful example of an AVI-8 HAWKER HUNTER QUARTZ DATE CHRONOGRAPH WRIST WATCH.
